1 Man Dead, 4 Others Injured in Boulder County Three Car CrashBOULDER COUNTY - A three-car crash forced the closure of U.S. 36 late into Sunday evening after an accident that left one person dead. Four other’s required hospitalization for their injuries.

Around 6 p.m. Sunday, Colorado State Patrol troopers responded to investigate a three-vehicle crash on Highway 36 four miles west of Lyons in Boulder County.

An adult driver of a silver 2015 Porche died and a girl riding in a silver Toyota Highlander was seriously injured. She remained hospitalized at Longmont United Hospital along with a man and woman, who were also in the Highlander. Another boy required an airlift to Denver due to the serious nature of his injuries. It is not clear whether he was a passenger in the Highlander or a tan Honda CRV, which was also involved in the crash.

Police have not released the names of those involved in the deadly accident. U.S. 36 closed from Estes Park to Apple Valley road for more than four hours for the investigation.
