16-Year-Old Passenger Dies in Fatal Pueblo Crash
PUEBLO COUNTY (December 19, 2018) - An early morning I-25 rollover crash left a sixteen-year-old passenger dead. The vehicle had been traveling northbound on I-25 near the Pueblo Blvd. exit when the crash occurred around 4:40 am.
According to a KRDO report, Pueblo police arrived to find a sedan on its top in what looked like a rollover crash. Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle, one of which was the 16-year-old who was pronounced dead at the scene. The other passenger and the driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police closed one northbound lane of I-25 between Stem Beach and Pueblo Blvd. Investigators are considering speed as factor in the crash and have no reason to suspect the involvement of drugs and alcohol.
