Crash Involving Semi

Jefferson County, CO — A fatal crash in Jefferson County Thursday morning, August 29th, killed at least two people and involved multiple vehicles.

According to reports, the crash occurred when a semi traveling eastbound on C-470 near Ken Caryl Avenue crossed the medium around 11 a.m. Colorado State Patrol said the crash caused an explosion, and fire crews had to extinguish a nearby grass fire.

Several vehicles were involved, though the exact number is currently unknown. The names of anyone injured or killed in the crash have not been determined or released. An investigation into the cause of the crash is still underway.
