CSP Identifies Driver Killed In Highway 50 Crash In Pueblo County
PUEBLO COUNTY - Colorado State Patrol has released the name of a man involved in a fatal vehicle crash east of Boone on Monday. Troopers identified Brett Martin as the man who died in the two-car accident.
Shortly after 3 p.m., Martin was traveling eastbound on highway 50 in Pueblo County. The 2000 Hyundai Accent he was driving crossed the median and entered westbound lanes near mile marker 339. There, the vehicle collided with a Ford E450 motorhome.
Troopers pronounced Martin, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, dead at the scene. Both the driver and passenger in the motorhome sustained minor injuries and were treated at Parkview Medical Center.
It appears that neither speed or impaired driving were factors in the crash. The highway remained closed until around 6:30 p.m. for clean up and investigation.
Our deepest condolences go out to the families of the victims of this horrible incident. If a family member would like the name of a person removed for any reason, please click the “Remove Post” link. REMOVE POST
