Cyclist Seriously Injured In Crash

Colorado Springs, CO — A teenage cyclist was seriously injured in a crash just south of downtown Colorado Springs Saturday night. 

The teen boy, who allegedly ran a red light on his bicycle while crossing the intersection of Tejon and Motor Way, was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound on Motor Way around 7 p.m. Saturday night. He is expected to survive. 

The crosstreets of Tejon and Motor Way were closed for two hours and reopened at 9 p.m. The crash is still under investigation and the teen could receive a ticket for running a red light.
