Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DUI in Wrong-Way Crash that Injured 6
Colorado Springs, CO — A three-car crash in Colorado Springs injured at least six people in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 24.
According to local police, one arrest was made in connection with the accident.
Michael Tucker, 29, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular assault.
Police reported that Tucker was driving a Ford sedan the wrong way in the northbound lanes of South Academy Boulevard when he crashed into a Tesla turning north onto the road and then another vehicle turning south.
Six of the eight people involved were hospitalized, some with severe injuries. It is unknown if Tucker was also hospitalized.
