Driver Killed in Rollover Crash Friday on Hwy 96

Pueblo County, CO — The Colorado State Patrol have identified the victim of fatal crash that happened Friday Sept. 6th on Highway 96 near Pueblo.

Investigators say the driver, 59-year-old Frank Sandoval, was driving westbound on Highway 96 between Pueblo and Wetmore at about 4:20 p.m. when he apparently lost control on a curve.

According to the CSP, the car veered off the right side of the highway, then crossed to the left side, and rolled three and a half times.

Sandoval, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and died at the scene, said police.

The accident remains under investigation.
