Motorcyclist Killed in Colorado Springs Crash May Not Have Been Wearing a Helmet

Colorado Springs, CO — Police have identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in the evening on Monday, July 22, in Colorado Springs.

Ehren Schultze, 39, was riding his motorcycle northbound on Academy Boulevard when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, causing him to strike a curb and get thrown off the motorcycle.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Schultze may not have been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, and it is currently not clear whether speed was a factor.
