Fountain Motorcyclist Killed in Motorcycle Crash Friday
Colorado Springs, CO — Police have identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Friday July 12th in Colorado Springs.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified the rider as Jajuan Richardson, 31, of Fountain.
Per accident reports, Richardson was part of a large group of motorcyclists traveling southbound on Rangewood Drive Friday July 12th just after 9:00 p.m.
Richardson was killed when he missed a curve in the road and was thrown from his bike.
“Approaching Briargate Boulevard, he struck a right-hand curb. The driver was ejected from the vehicle,” said Lt. Jim Sokolik with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Sokolik said there was no indication the group of motorcyclists was speeding or racing prior to the crash.
Richardson’s injuries were severe and he died before police reached the scene. He was reportedly wearing a helmet.
