Motorcyclist Killed in Crash in Northern Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs, CO — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Friday, July 12, that happened late in the evening in Colorado Springs.
Officers responded to the scene around 9:00 p.m. The motorcycle rider, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to authorities, a group of motorcycles had been traveling southbound on Rangewood Drive when one of them failed to negotiate a curve in the road.
When the motorcycle struck the curb the rider, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected and killed.
The investigation remains open, however, it was reported that neither speed nor any kind of speed contest are considered factors in the crash.
