Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Colorado Springs Hit-and-Run

Colorado Springs, CO — Police are actively seeking the driver who hit a pedestrian around midnight Saturday July 13th at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and North Carefree Circle in Colorado Springs.

The victim has lost a limb, Colorado Springs Police said.

Based on witness accounts, the victim was trying to cross North Academy Boulevard when a Ford sedan ran through the intersection heading southbound, hitting the pedestrian and speeding off. 

Very little is known at this point about the suspect vehicle.  The car is described as a recent model mid-sized, dark-colored Ford.  The vehicle should have front-end damage. 

Anyone with information about the driver’s whereabouts, the location of the car, or knowledge of the crash should call the Colorado Springs police department at 719-444-7000.
