Pedestrian Killed While Crossing Highway 24 Identified
Manitou Springs, CO — Police have released the identity of a pedestrian killed while attempting to cross Highway 24 west of Manitou Springs.
Charles Morath was crossing the highway around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, September 5th, when he was struck by a Honda traveling in the left lane.
The driver of the car, 54-year-old Timothy Splinter, was uninjured. Morath was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. We will update this post with more information if it becomes available.
