Two Flee Crash Leave Injured Passenger BehindCOLORADO SPRINGS - Police are looking for a passenger and driver who fled the scene of an accident on Tuesday. One person suffered serious injuries in the crash and was left behind by the two when they ran from the scene.

Police found the vehicle near Old Colorado City in the 1600 Block of West Uintah Street around 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The vehicle appeared to have hit a curb, a tree stump and finally a light pole.

It was the backseat passenger who was badly injured and left in the vehicle. The passenger not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Police are still searching for the driver and front passenger who ran from the scene of the crash. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and it is unclear yet if speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash. The names of the suspect and victim have not been released.
