Woman Critically Injured in Denver Hit-and-Run
DENVER (May 2, 2019) - Denver police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run on Wednesday morning.
A woman was struck by a car and critically injured around 5 a.m. Wednesday while crossing against the light at East Evans Avenue near Holly Street. The driver fled the scene.
Surveillance video shows the suspect , described as a darker-skinned female, getting out of her car to check on the victim, then getting back in her car and driving off.
The vehicle, described as an early 2000s silver or gold sedan, was last seen headed west on East Evans Avenue from Holly Street. Witnesses say it may have been a Pontiac Grand Am or similar model.
The car likely has damage on the front, passenger side, and windshield, police said.
Anyone who sees the car or who has more information about the crime is asked to call police.
